I had a good start at it last May/June and have now picked it up again. I am fascinated with rocks and the iron and the copper colours that appear in the mines and caves in Cornwall as part of our mining heritage. I am also slightly obsessed with limpets and how they like following the cracks and faultiness in rocks. So this is a slideshow of how the work is going.

Whilst walking on Perranporth the other day, I found a seagull wing on the strand line. All the feathers still connected so you could fan out the wing. Needless to say I have brought it home to scan and play around with. Added the wings into a painting and onto a photograph

​On my walks along the Cornish clifftops and beaches with my dog and my family, i have become fascinated with rock strata and the colours and layers of the different types of rock. Fault lines of crystal or a tin seam, limpets that only follow the fault line, and the contours scalloped out by the tides. 
​I have been photographing these for a while and have begun to play with accentuating colours to develop into mixed media paintings or textile pieces.
